Newsletter!
We hope to publish this on a regular basis, possibly every two weeks, to keep members informed on what’s happening at the club and any coming events.
If you have any contributions for the newsletter- news, success in any events that club members/ teams participate in, committee news etc. - I would be most appreciative if you could let me know.
We hope to expand on and improve the format as we go along.
The newsletter will be for news and information only.
Any ideas from members are welcome and we also hope to upgrade and update the club website as soon as possible.
Coming Events:
11th Sept. 10am - 1pm Metropolitan Open Day for all Bowling Clubs. Any new bowlers are welcome to come along and have a go.
**Volunteers needed to help out on the day.
14th Sept. Ladies’ Open Day.
25th Sept. 12pm for 12:30pm start Mixed Open Day. Drawn 4’s.
Ladies bring a plate of afternoon tea. Men $5 green fees.
1st Oct. AFL grand final from 11:30am. An afternoon at the club to watch the game. Sausage sizzle, sweeps, raffles etc. Wear your club colours, have a drink, watch the game on the big screen.
23rd Oct. 8am - Noon Monster Car Park Sale in front car park of the Club. We want all members to donate something to raise money for the club. Individual stalls will cost $30 and are available to anyone.
From 17th Sept. The kitchen will be open Friday nights for light meals- hamburgers, chips, toasted sandwiches etc.

Funeral Details - Tony Glenn
April 30th, 2009The funeral for Tony Glenn will be held today 30th April 2009 at 3.00pm at the Brown Chappell Karrakatta Cemetery by Seasons Funerals Belmont.

April 23rd, 2009It is with sadness that we advise of our former member and men’s captain, Tony Glenn passed away today Thursday 23rd April 2009.
Tony was well respected in the bowling community for his dedication and hard work.
Our condolonces to his family.

Masters Triples
April 20th, 2009And it keeps on happening, on the weekend another win for the boys.
Anthony Provost, Stuart Bainbridge and Charles Slavich (from Doubleview) won the Masters Triples beating James Jaworski, Thomas Mitchell and Peter Kerr in the final.

State Championship Results April 09
April 16th, 2009Another great outing by the boys from the club in the State Championships held over the Easter weekend.
Ian Davidson, Kel Jones and Robbie Johnson won the 3rd Division and Under Triples.
George Smith won the Third Division and Under Singles.
The club is still showing it’s dominance at the business end of the season.
Another job well done!!!
